GlycoSeLect develops high-specificity RPL products that enable simple, fast and efficient detection, analysis, separation and purification of intact glycosylated biomolecules.
Glycan target
Intact glycosylated biomolecule presenting a specific epitope.
RPL recognition
Glycan-selective binding by the recombinant prokaryotic lectin.
Detection / analysis
Signal via anti-His detection on standard analytical platforms.
Separation / purification
Immobilised RPL on solid support for selective isolation.
GlycoSeLect Ltd specialises in the development and production of Recombinant Prokaryotic Lectins (RPLs) — glycoselective bioaffinity compounds that recognise and bind specific glycan structures displayed on glycoproteins and other glycosylated biomolecules. RPLs help detect, analyse, separate and purify intact glycosylated biomolecules, and their recombinant origin provides consistency and scalability that traditional plant or eukaryotic lectins can find difficult to match.
RPLs bind defined glycan epitopes on intact glycoproteins and other glycosylated biomolecules.
Recombinant expression enables reproducible, high-quality products with consistent performance.
Simple anti-His detection integrates with standard analytical platforms, reducing labelling steps.
Immobilisation on diverse solid support matrices supports analytical and larger-scale workflows.
Recombinant production of prokaryotic lectins offers a controlled route to glycoselective bioaffinity reagents, with reproducible quality across batches and clear paths from analytical use to larger-scale purification.
GlycoSeLect has developed a range of RPL products exhibiting specificity and high affinity for glycan epitopes including terminal galactose, mannose, sialic acid and fucose structures.
All RPL products display a poly-histidine tag, enabling simple detection using standard conjugated anti-His detection antibodies and reducing the need for in vitro labelling steps such as biotinylation. Products are available in different pack sizes and can be supplied in larger quantities if required.
Contact GlycoSeLect to discuss the most appropriate RPL for your glycan target, analytical platform or purification workflow.
Our RPLs can be integrated into a wide range of analytical platforms, supporting workflows from product development to production. Their immobilisation on diverse solid support matrices and scalable production provide flexibility for glycoselective bioaffinity-based purification, including larger-scale use.
Discuss biopharma applicationsRPLs provide tools for the identification of novel glycan-based biomarkers and may support new diagnostic approaches. They can also be used for in situ glycan detection and analysis, cell identification and the classification of microorganisms or infectious agents.
Explore research use casesRPLs can be used to extract valuable glycoproteins from food industry raw material streams, supporting selective separation and analysis of glycosylated biomolecules.
Discuss food industry applicationsGlycans play an important role in maintaining the structure and health of the skin. RPLs can support skin glycobiology research as biochemical reagents or as part of analytical platforms for detecting and analysing glycosylated biomolecules.
Discuss cosmetics research applicationsRPL-based workflows can simplify glycoanalysis by enabling targeted recognition of intact glycosylated biomolecules, supporting faster analysis, selective isolation and purification.
